Rochford District Council has entered into a contract with development partner, gbpartnerships, to deliver the Council’s Asset Delivery Programme. The two partners have now come together as Voyage Partnership.

As plans are developed and refined, we will be engaging with users and stakeholder groups to make sure the designs best reflect the future needs of the people using them. Wherever possible we will strive to improve on these time-lines, bringing forward the plans for much needed improved community facilities.

Final Tenders
Procurement process to appoint a private sector partner to support Rochford District Council in the delivery of its asset strategy. Following a competitive dialogue process final tenders were received by the Council on 24th January 2020.
gbpartnerships Selected
After a period of evaluation, a decision was made on 19th May 2020 at Full Council to appoint gbpartnerships as its preferred bidder.
Contracts Signed
At an Extraordinary Council Meeting on 2nd October it was agreed that Rochford District Council would formally enter into Contracts with gbpartnerships Ltd to deliver the Council’s Asset Delivery Programme.

- Refurbishment and extension to this heritage asset to give it a new lease of life.
- Current building to be transformed into a modern flexible multi use space which will accommodate the Civic Chamber for Council meetings, hireable community space and a public welcome area providing 21st Century technology.
- The extension will be used as efficient office space for the use of Council staff and partner organisations.
- Incorporating latest environmental technologies and rated BREEAM Excellent (for the extension) and Very Good (for the refurbished element).
