The Council welcomes collaboration with Essex Police in Rayleigh

Rochford District Council is pleased to confirm that Essex Police has expressed their support for using the proposed new community centre as part of their community policing approach to tackling and reducing crime and anti-social behaviour and to protect vulnerable people in the heart of Rayleigh.

The new community centre proposed to replace the existing Mill Hall will be able to host public outreach initiatives as well as private meetings enabling members of the public to interact with their local policing teams.

The Council will continue to explore opportunities for working in partnership with Essex Police to prevent and tackle crime and increase community engagement.

The Leader of Rochford District Council, Cllr Simon Wootton said: “I am delighted to announce that Essex Police are already making plans to use the proposed new community centre in Rayleigh. This will enable us to work together more efficiently for the benefit of the community, in an improved space equipped with the best and most up to date facilities”.
